Live in Las Vegas is a live album by Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. The recorded show was performed on December 12, 2009, at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This album is the acoustic duo's third official release as this album follows Live at Radio City, which was released on CD and DVD in 2007.
Songs and Performance
The songs on Live in Las Vegas were recorded at a live concert played at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on December 12, 2009. This album marks the first official release of acoustic versions of songs from Dave Matthews Band newest album Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, featuring songs such as "You and Me" and "Funny the Way It Is". The performance consisted of a 26 song set list. Thirteen songs were Dave Matthews Band songs, five songs were from the Dave Matthews solo album Some Devil, one song was a Tim Reynolds original, and the remaining songs were various unrecorded or borrowed songs. Similar to Live at Radio City, Dave and Tim played the entire concert together, with the exception of two songs played solo by Tim Reynolds ("Kundalini Bonfire" and "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin) and Dave Matthews playing "Some Devil" solo.
Double Down Bonus Disc
Members of the DMB Warehouse who pre-ordered the "Live in Las Vegas" CD were treated to an 8 track bonus CD called "Double Down" which contains tracks from the first two shows in the series at Planet Hollywood on December 10 and 11, 2009.

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds or Dave and Tim is a musical act composed of Dave Matthews, member of Dave Matthews Band, and Tim Reynolds, member of TR3.
History
Matthews and Reynolds met in Charlottesville, Virginia, while Matthews was a bartender at Miller's. Reynolds encouraged Matthews musical growth. Eventually, Matthews wanted to join Reynolds' band TR3, but Reynolds told him to form his own band.
Matthews went on to form Dave Matthews Band. Reynolds has occasionally joined the band in the studio, as on the albums Under the Table and Dreaming, Crash, Before These Crowded Streets and the latest Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, as well as on tour.
By 1993, as a side project, Matthews and Reynolds played a few acoustic set shows, first on April 22, 1993.
From this point onward, they always played acoustic, and they always played every year together, whether as Dave and Tim, Matthews guesting with TR3, Reynolds guesting with Dave Matthews Band, or Matthews and Reynolds playing in the band Dave Matthews and Friends .
